DATO’ AHMAD REDZA BIN ABDULLAH
Director

Dato’ Ahmad Redza Bin Abdullah, is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Sarawak Cable Group.

 

He graduated with a Bachelor of Law degree (LLB) with Honours from the University of London, United Kingdom, in 1987; and subsequently obtained his Certificate in Legal Practice from University of Malaya in 1988.

 

In 1989, he was admitted to the High Court of Malaya. Currently, he is the Deputy Managing Partner of Messrs. Shahrizat Rashid & Lee and Head of Litigation and Dispute Resolution. He has extensive experience in civil and commercial litigation and is primarily involved in the field of defamation, arbitration and debt recovery for financial institutions. He also handles work in relation to labour and employment law, probate and matrimonial matters. He has also acted as counsel for various legal firms in his area of expertise.

 

He is currently an Ahli Lembaga Kehormat (ALK) of Koperasi Pekerja-Pekerja Era Baru Bhd (“KOERA”) and the Chairman of The Victoria Institution Old Boys Association (“VIOBA””) Foundation. Currently, he sits on the Board of Directors of several private limited companies in Malaysia.

DATUK KEVIN HOW KOW
Director

Datuk Kevin How Kow, Malaysian, was appointed to the Board of Sarawak Cable Berhad as Independent Non-Executive Director on the 8th October 2009. He is also the Chairman of the Audit Committee and member of the Nomination Committee. He was appointed as Director in Trenergy Infrastructure Sdn Bhd on 25 February 2013.

 

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Singapore. He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountant and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He was made a partner of Ernst & Young, Malaysia in 1984 and served as Partner-in-charge of offices in Sabah and Sarawak.

 

From 1996 onwards, he was Partner-in-charge of the firm’s practice in Sabah and Labuan until his retirement at the end of 2003.
His directorships in public companies include Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad (“CMS”), K&N Kenanga Holdings Berhad, Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad, Sabah Development Bank Berhad and Saham Sabah Berhad. He is also an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Group Audit Committee of CMS.

 

He also sits on the Board of Directors of several private and public limited companies.
He has no conflict of interest in any business arrangement involving the Company and has had no convictions for any offences within the past 10 years.

TOH CHEE CHING
Director

Toh Chee Ching, first graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Campbell University, US in 1986. He subsequently obtained a Master of Business Administration (majoring in Finance) degree from the Oklahama City University, US in 1988.
He began his professional career in 1989 when he joined Sonic Corporation in US as a Business and Management Executive and primarily responsible for planning and executing marketing plans as well as sales strategies for the company.

 

In 1990, he joined Tien Ren Securities Corporation in Taiwan as a Research Analyst and was involved in the establishment of Tien Ren Securities Group in Taiwan. In 1991, he joined Hock Hua Bank Berhad (now part of Public Bank Berhad) as a credit officer and in 1992, he joined Sarawak Securities Sdn Bhd (currently known as K&N Kenanga Holdings Berhad) as the Head of Research and Development where he was leading a team of research analysts and supporting the Corporate Dealing Department.

 

In 1995, he joined Sarawak Capital Sdn Bhd as a Senior Manager, dealing with project investments, corporate and financial advisory services. In 2000, he was promoted to General Manager of Sarawak Capital Sdn Bhd and appointed as a Director in 2005. In 2000, he was appointed as the Non-Executive Director of Universal Cable (Sarawak) and was subsequently appointed as the Managing Director on 9 September 2009. Following the listing of Sarawak Cable Berhad on Bursa Malaysia in 2010, he since became the Managing Director of Sarawak Cable Group. He presently also sits on the Board of Directors of several other private limited companies.
