Mohd Fouzi Ramli, aged 49, first graduated from New Mexico State University, US with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1990. He is also a Registered Graduate Engineer (Electrical) of Board of Engineers, Malaysia since 1993.
He began his professional career in 1992 when he joined General Electric Company of Malaysia Sdn Bhd as a Project Engineer where he had involved in 275/132kV overhead transmission lines for central and southern region of Peninsular Malaysia.
In 1995, he left to join Transmission Technology Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad as an Engineer responsible for monitoring the line engineering activities of transmission lines projects, namely 500kV Transmission Lines for Phase 1 and 1A and 33kV Transmission Line from Chenderoh substation to Sauk substation. He was promoted to an Assistant Manager in 1998 to assist the Senior Manager in monitoring the transmission lines overall engineering activities as well as directly monitor the line engineering team. In 2002 he was promoted to a Manager and subsequently to a Senior Manager Transmission Line and Substation in 2007. Being a Senior Manager, his responsibility included design and engineering control management for transmission line project which comprises of line engineering, civil and structural and geo-technical. He had also worked on various 275kV Transmission Line Projects in Peninsular Malaysia during his years in this Company.
In 2010, he was seconded to MRCB Engineering Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad as a Senior Manager in Mechanical and Electrical Division. He was mainly responsible for mechanical and electrical control management for building projects which include engineering coordination, procurement of materials and construction.
He left to join Mott MacDonald Malaysia Sdn Bhd in 2013 as a Senior Principal Engineer responsible to grow and deliver services to Sarawak Energy Berhad, other Malaysian clients and the future South East Asia transmission development.
In 2014, he joined Sarawak Cable Berhad as a General Manager in charge of the 500kV Transmission Line Projects, Package B and C. With more than 20 years of experience in project management, technical and field works of EHV, HV and LV transmission line and substation projects and 2 years experience in mechanical and electrical works of high rise buildings coupled with his management and leadership skills, he has been appointed to be the General Manager of Trenergy Infrastructure Sdn Bhd in early 2016.
